For us, sustainable agriculture is not a niche — it is the new standard. Locally produced, independently of global supply chains, and certified to EU standards.
Five interconnected value streams — from the barn to the field, from local residuals to certified carbon credits.
CE-certified soil substrate pursuant to EU Fertilizing Product Regulation 2019/1009. Produced from manure, biochar and nutrients — a large-scale alternative to conventional mineral fertilizers. Improves soil structure, promotes plant growth, prevents nitrate leaching, and acts as a certified long-term CO₂ sink. Produced locally. Independent of global supply chains.

Learn more about EAP®Avoidance credits (EAP®) and removal credits (C-Humus®) — 117,000 t CO₂e per unit p.a. Two independent certified climate impact pathways. Validated by myclimate & Verra VCS.
Carbon certificationManure → clean process water + C-Humus® + carbon credits + energy. Nothing is wasted. Every output generates value.
See the systemProduction facilities generate surplus energy — 0.8 MW/h of heat delivered to local and district heating networks. A contribution to the regional energy transition.
"C" stands for the carbon in biochar — "Humus" for the organic carbon in the organic component, combined with soil nutrients N, P, K, Mg, and trace elements. Together, they form a substrate that works like nature's own Terra Preta.
C-Humus® is produced by combining organic filter material from manure processing with soil nutrients from slurry, green waste, biochar and minerals. The resulting mixed substrate is fermented and further processed into a certified biofertilizer pellet.
The sponge-like porous structure of the biochar stores water and nutrients, hosting complex communities of microorganisms. Through C-Resource's proprietary process, biochar is coated internally and externally with soil nutrients — achieving exceptional plant-available nutrient density.
C-Humus® uses slurry and biochar as nutrient carriers, improves soil properties, and promotes plant growth. By building up humus and enhancing cation exchange capacity, yields improve in the long term.
C-Humus® has a positive CO₂ balance due to the binding of carbon in the soil. Each tonne applied acts as a long-term, certified carbon removal sink.
C-Humus® supports the regeneration of healthy soils as a natural, organic soil improver. It prevents nutrient losses through leaching and reduces nitrogen pollution in soil and groundwater.
C-Humus® improves water retention capacity and soil biodiversity thanks to the sponge-like, porous structure of the biochar — 5× water absorption of its own weight.
Regional production supports EU and German climate protection objectives through significant CO₂e reduction and creation of certified carbon sinks.
Surplus renewable energy — 0.8 MW/h of heat — is delivered to local district heating. A direct contribution to the regional energy transition.
Production complies with EU regulations, ensuring availability and affordability of fertilizers fully independent of geopolitical supply disruptions.
Local raw materials, local jobs, 90,000 t/year of biofertilizer as a direct alternative to imported mineral fertilizers. Value stays in the region.
The patented EAP® process reduces NH₃, CH₄ and N₂O at the source — fully automated, 24/7, without disrupting farm operations. Operational since 2023 at the Streicherhof pilot plant in Bavaria.
The Stiftung myclimate (Dr. Roman Hüppi & Fiona Stewart-Smith) independently validated the scientific basis of all seven EAP® mechanisms, commissioned by M-Klimafonds. Key findings:
Conclusion: "Das C-Resource Verfahren ist ingenieurtechnisch plausibel, wissenschaftlich fundiert und zeigt ein sehr hohes Potenzial zur Reduktion von Emissionen." — myclimate, 22.04.2026
Biochar distributed mechanically on barn floor. Binds moisture, nutrients and ammonia immediately.
Lely robot distributes proprietary lactic acid formulation. pH <5.0 blocks NH₃ formation by 80–90%.
Slurry pumped every 2 hours into 6 filter containers (160 m²), 20–30 m from barn.
Natural gravity separation — no chemicals. Multiple filter phases. Purely physical and biological.
Clear water (drinking water quality) + solid substrate → C-Humus® precursor. Continuous remote monitoring.

C-Resource generates both avoidance credits from the EAP® process and removal credits from C-Humus® — independently certified, with distinct buyer profiles in the voluntary carbon market.
The EAP® process prevents NH₃, CH₄ and N₂O from entering the atmosphere — generating certified avoidance credits for food manufacturers reducing their Scope 3 FLAG emissions.
Food retailers face mandatory Scope 3 FLAG emissions targets under SBTi-validated programmes. EAP®-generated avoidance credits allow them to demonstrate measurable, independently certified reductions within their supply chains.
Myclimate study (April 2026): "Die Finanzierung der Klimaschutzleistung innerhalb der Wertschöpfungskette der Tierhaltungsbetriebe [ermöglicht] Co-Finanzierung des Klimaschutzbeitrags." The study explicitly confirms feasibility as a Scope 3 climate protection project for food industry customers.
Each tonne of C-Humus® applied to soil acts as a permanent, certified carbon sink. Biochar-bound carbon remains stable in the soil for centuries.
Combined avoidance and removal credits: 117,000 t CO₂e per unit p.a. — two independent value streams with stable, growing demand.
C-Resource integrates decentralized EAP® units on farms with a centralized C-Humus® production plant. Every output generates value. Nothing is wasted.
Modular container unit in or adjacent to the barn. Automated lactic acid and biochar addition binds NH₃ and CH₄ at the source. 24/7 automated operation.
Solids transported to central C-Humus® plant. Purified process water remains on the farm — 190,000 m³ per unit p.a. for field irrigation.
Central plant: 90,000 t/a. Biochar + manure solids + nutrients → CE-certified soil substrate. 6,700 t biochar p.a. Energy surplus to district heating.
C-Humus® biofertilizer for regional agriculture. Clean process water for farm irrigation (190,000 m³/unit p.a.). Biochar-based carbon sinks. Surplus energy to district heating networks. Every material flow is captured, certified, and utilised.
C-Resource addresses the full agricultural challenge — not just one piece. We compare differently to alternative approaches in the sustainable fertilizer space.
| Criterion | C-Resource | Alternative approaches |
|---|---|---|
| Input source | Livestock manure — solving a waste & pollution problem at source | Agricultural byproducts (crop-specific), synthetic inputs, or air/water |
| Operational status | ✓ 3 years pilot operation (Streicherhof, Bavaria, since 2023) | Many still in pilot or first-plant phase |
| Emission avoidance | ✓ In-barn (NH₃, CH₄, N₂O) — up to 85% reduction, certified | Typically focused on production emissions only |
| Carbon credits | ✓ Both avoidance credits (EAP®) AND removal credits (C-Humus®) | Usually only one credit type |
| EU regulatory fit | ✓ CE-certified · EU FPR 2019/1009 · DüV-compliant · German HQ | Primarily US market; EU expansion in progress |
| Supply chain independence | ✓ 100% locally sourced inputs — no global dependencies | Dependent on specific feedstock availability or global logistics |
| System outputs | ✓ Five distinct outputs: biofertilizer, two credit types, energy, clean process water | Typically one or two output streams |
We regenerate soils and avoid GHG emissions in agriculture. We believe in sustainable agriculture that is scalable — not as a niche, but as the new standard.
In a circular system, we use local biomass, residual materials and manure to produce a high-quality, scalable alternative to conventional fertilizer. Our work strengthens water resilience, reduces nitrate leaching, and generates verifiable climate impact — measurable, auditable, and locally anchored.
Our team brings together experience from research, industry, finance, and agriculture, combining diverse perspectives to drive practical and innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture.
Klimaschutz, der sich lohnt — for your farm, cooperative, food retailer or supply chain. We look forward to the conversation.
